One of the most
frequent questions we have received over the
years is from individuals asking for a credit report
or status enquiry on themselves. However such an
enquiry would require a credit search to be carried out,
and this would leave a 'footprint' on the individuals
personal credit file. Thee are services available where
y ou can instantly view the same data that
other searchers see on your file
- You can add your own comments for other
future searchers to see
- You can amend anything that is incorrect, out of date, or
in error

Is there
a credit screening blacklist?
There is no
credit blacklist as such. When you are applying for a loan or credit the company you
apply to may search your records with a credit reference agency and it will be the
records on your credit report that they will use as part of their process to determine whether
or not to extend credit.
That's someone else!
If you obtain your own credit files and you see that they show information referring to
another person with whom you have no direct financial connection you can ask for this information
to be removed - when you get your credit file you will receive some guidance notes which explain
how you can do this. |
